I imagine that meter which is a kind of straight
jacket placed on people who want to explore
communication through poetry

that just mirrors diversity
through taking words beyond the meaning
of the word, or at least an occasional
mistake that sounds different

it is harder to just write without
any attempt at meaning

meter is more like playing a game
that has rules, so the rules are more
important then the content

I really don't know how random
is random, and I never tried to use meter
because you have to learn that in school
I did not think I could learn how to be a poet
in a classroom

but if all I wanted to do was work with words
by playing by some rules that I agreed to
and if I thought that poetry was meter

Poetry is the sun through a crack in the mountains. If it has meter it has meter, but poetry is not meter.
