tomorrow
the procrastinator's wet dream
stolen energy along the curve
of today's arc
we assume it's a given
for the most part
last year on this date
a surgeon I barely knew
removed a cancerous organ
not one with black and white keys
only black, no jacks for amplification
no music could be heard at all
deep sleep trust and hope
were all I could muster
a neo karaoke anesthesia
the only amusement that of the scalpel
out for more than six hours
woke up in a strange room
my eldest son the first face
and I knew it was real
still here
at least for the moment
tomorrow ?
you never know
tomorrow
Re: tomorrow
tomorrow is never a given
here today... but
(gone tomorrow?)
I am here now
and to defer the music
until tomorrow
is a wager whose odds
I don't much like
here today... but
(gone tomorrow?)
I am here now
and to defer the music
until tomorrow
is a wager whose odds
I don't much like
