a creation myth

Post by e_dog » August 3rd, 2005, 11:09 pm

Out of his skull
there came a bird
in its talons
a gift of swords
on their points
a debt of blood

over the mountains
past the rocks
soared all the answers
and the decision was made . . .
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

okay, myth'ter... am i myth'ing something here or are you myth'taken?

Who is 'his' and why is the male gender used?

Did this bird come out of the top of 'his' skull or 'his' ears, or maybe the mouth... eyes... nose...?

What type of bird of prey was it?

Who would gift someone else (who is this gift for?) bloodied swords?

Who owes who for the blood?

Where did the blood come from - the 'his' skull or the bird?

Over all the mountains everywhere? past every rock on earth or beyond? what questions were asked to envision all the answers?

Whose decision was made - the skulls or the birds?

[... but this piece does fancy up some images, no doubt. ]

Geez cecil, the answer is obvious. It is turtles all the way down.

I like scientific creation myths

In the beginning
was the end
of the end
and the beginning of the beginning.

The end.
