I been thinking about this post for a couple days. And I thought about you the other night. First time I have ever rode a motorcycle at night. Oh what a feeling, but I was scared too, looking down at the world of hurt beneath my feet. Trying to remember how it felt to be young and invulnerable.
take it easy
Hope you got some good stuff to read. I picked up a book by an american psychiatrist about the Dalai Lama, actually more a collaberation between them. Twenty five cents I paid for that treasure."Better not take someone else’s religion, plenty wisdom in your own."] The Dalai Lama said at another juncture, as if talking to himself, that religion was not for every day; religion was for times of pain. As I recall, his exact words were, "Religion something like medicine, when no pain no need medicine; same thing religion

Dear Artguy:
Remember ( and re-read if necessary) these words from a fellow artist who has been drawing and painting for fifty years, and whose opinion, thereby, ought to be worth something:
You, Kurt, are a nimble, imaginative, technically gifted and mentally agile pictorial artist. You are innovative, challenging and yet completely solid and coherent in the way you handle form and color.
Your ideas are original, often carrying the shock of the "genuine" about them in a fine-filtered but mysterious "mist."
This I like very much.
You are a very significant artist.
This assessment comes from another artist, who strives to achieve the very things I have named above every day of his working life.
Be well, my artist comrade, and believe in yourself.
As a 96-year-old Croatian freedom fighter used to tell me:
"Don't forget who you are . . ."
I know who you are.
With all best holiday ( and every other day-- particularly art working days . . .) wishes,
Zlatko
