Backyard haiku:
white wing doves
in the bare mimosa~
spring springs
inca doves
driven from the nest
white wings rule!
from the skies
a piece of dog food falls-
grackles' peace "offering"
(I was looking for another word here, but it escaped me...the boat-tailed grackles regularly drop bread or dog food from other yards to my dogs...because, I am guessing, they nest in our yard and dogs kill baby birds...it seems the grackles do it on purpose. This is a weak haiku because I am explaining it...)
desert rain
weeds spring
in sidwalk cracks

It must have been a chick thing cause it worked for me.
but you know what I know about haiku. I hear spooky theramin music every time I come here. I sit here and type aimlessly because I have not ever got my head out the door and how can I even try to do a ku sitting in a white cell.
Beautiful work SooZen they doctors my eyes.
there is a chance of rain today, the first buds of spring on the trees.
Thanks Jack...yes, you must go outside occasionally to really touch Mother Nature and catch a ku. Hah!
grey skies-
on the horizon
sun lights
dove flurry
from the pinon-
dog marks the spot
no coffee
coffee maker sojourn-
tea time!
at my feet
the dogs
carpet
sometimes, I try and make my ku's as succinct and precise as I can and still try and portray the essence of the moment.
haiku
frozen
now
this haiku
is not haiku
is not is
Peace and happy haiku,
