the trees are my brush
mind the painter!

for you right now
a dove calls

outside my window
a slice of light penetrates
the fence

you call the dogs
I sit
you ask me to move
I stay
you want something
I fetch
you say come
I go
…bitching!

old dog licks young dog
old dog wants treat
old dog pants & paces
old dog laps water noisily
old dog has to pee often
just old dog chores
before death
