laundromat

Post by sasha » July 29th, 2016, 4:27 pm

.

folding clothes
an older couple
in silence

giggling children
give one another rides
in the wheeled carts

a white-haired gent
off in a corner
writing haiku

in the launderella
I can see things tumble
behind glass doors

I try to picture
the complexities of life
tossed garments

spun with coins
heads or tails
everyone here has a story
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Definitely busy, but not too busy to attend the FAC (Friday Afternoon Club) at The Sink, where you could get a cheeseburger and a bottle of 3.2 beer for 75 cents. But, I never actually rode the Doozy Duds dryer, but knew a lot of guys who did. I think they're still dizzy.

By the way, The Sink and Doozy Duds are still there. There's a moral there, somewhere...
