Vegan Café Summer Haiku 1st String
green skirt
of windblown Sally
summer kite
pollen
on the honeysuckle breeze
nectar of Aphrodite
sassafras
scents morning light
on dandelion breeze
delta blues
where nightingale nests
deep in her south
heart of summer
in her Irish winelight
sun freckles
champagne embers
sizzle in her sequined skirt
sun tanned lizard preens

Re: Vegan Café Summer Haiku 1st String
meatless
still plenty of fiber's
healthy glow
full of beans
and that's not a bad thing
just sayin'
we are what we eat
and we are what we write
we are the world
still plenty of fiber's
healthy glow
full of beans
and that's not a bad thing
just sayin'
we are what we eat
and we are what we write
we are the world

Just to explain the vegan cafe was just the place where I wrote the poems but the poems themselves are about women in summer not the cafe. I realize the title must have confused you.
