diminutive summer good-byes

Post by joel » July 6th, 2005, 12:58 pm

snow sown over curse-scars
amazes summer’s own sun sum
as an owner’s noose

zen renews as swans
sans vow or vex
swum over muse-woes

news now runs
snow earns sun-curse scars
swans won an owner’s noose
an owner’s urn

muse avows
a risen sun’s one arc
woven over scars

one grounded pigeon
waddles awkward away from others
suddenly flies off

one person's eyes
slip away from contact unnoticed
against unnoticed abuse

the heart break in her eyes
no redemption needed

slip away from contact unnoticed
against unnoticed abuse

butt heads and beavises
pop cult treatesies
weapons locked and loaded

scarface healed
inside bruised
scarred for life

not a game
it happened again
the abyss opened up

down into the deep
back up to creep
will i stay on top this time?

gloom and doom
terror and trembling
fear and loathing

be here now
aingst arisen
redemption in detention.

blue grass ku
a man of constant sorrow
I was blind

Never again
So they say
don't tread on me

a snake in the grass
a walking talking miracle
from Viet Nam

puckered up in texas
it don't matter whose in Austin
Lady Bird is still the quenn

a lot of scripts running
decomacry just the best of the worse
free speech, waxes and wanes

palmer raids
mad bombers
something might be new under the sun

pop culture, punk cultrue, a fierce generation of women needed, them security moms having too many nightmares. Barbara Milkulsky for President because she looks pretty in pink

mindless jimbo just totaly f-ing mindless, so anyway what happened before, another war? This whole corporate state world net work of good old boys? geez man ya know I got no imagination. still thinking going to re-read, this is just where I am on the first read, too much meaning extracted from lines of text that sure dont seem like kosher ku, but what do I know?

Distant volcanic ash
quietly out of poetic focus with
sun-burned steam off stream-rocks

clouds the slowest changing
figment-skewed endless heaven transparency,
breaking goose formations.

---------------------------

cigarettes and coffee
wonderful three-ring circus acrobatics
beautiful unhealthy

beetle in a glass jar
frantic tumble somersault--free tomorrow
sweet dreams of health tonight

it happens again
eternal return
but no redemption

rip rap on river bank
erosion halted
one tree on the edge

roots exposed
ready to fall
the river grows wilder

tree grows stronger
time and weather?
sugar ain't ku either

no balance
no health
sickness unto death

a reason to live
not meant to be a priest
but here I am

it happened again
rain last night
hurricane in the gulf

storm clouds pass over
an ill wind that blows no good
suffering on the coast

my morning glories rejoice
sweet summer madness
distant thunder

la tempesta se fue
the tempest in a teapot
the storm went away

summer storms
windows bare
hurricane roulette

making anti-war picture
more terrorist bombings
whose resolve should i listen to?

birds chirping
will take jukai vows
zen peacemaker order

bearing witness
the bell of mindfullness
redemption in the present moment

bloody underwear
down on my knees
redemption of sleep

a prayer answered
and He said
get up and walk like a man

He?
still quiet voice
out of nowwhere

my redeemer
been there done that
still here later

summer good bye
redemption bought and sold
worn out word of christianeze

did I ever tell you Iwas a jesus freak

except
Jesus in one ear, nietzsche in the other
kept my head on straight

zen earings
temple bells
now past redemption

quaker now
always now
endless summer

"something to hold onto
make me an angel that flies from montgomery
believing is such a hard way to go"

geology studied in earnest
listening to stories told by earth that never lived
each grain speaking

scripture and scientific textbook
truth divine they need not be each other to be true
to what they speak

faith best makes sense in relationships
truth is simply rocks cry Hosanna when I'm silent
ought I not speak?

faith based relationships
I have more faith in them
then governments

Silicon rocks
sparking words
around the earth

cacoon of truth
within the web of lies
we be faithful bees

summer goodbye
happy returns
I wish you

Image

summer seems like it has just begun, and my morning glories conqueor everything in sight
