Where ought I turn my face
when puddles glare and mica blinds
as painful as full-portrait suns?

In shaded cavern comforts
what benefit are open eyes
relaxed because they nothing see?

Delicate houseflies—
Fragile light redeemed from gravity;
Weight just enough to be noticed.
