1.

Verses are stars,
meteors, continuous
touch of a universal
reach, images which teach
us to be present once more,

A gift packaged to be unwrapped
like when his lashes opened
and I saw a tear had rested
on the corner duct;

Such are love lyrics.
Delicious. Pure, salted,
tasted on a tongue –

Memorabilia of young
planets, each syllable,
an orb.

The variance of meter.
The persuasion of a tune.
Love poetry visits at noon
the day after it vanishes
from the page.

2.

They
will
stop
killing
each other
when they
realize they
are each other.

3.

A fleshy pomegranate
is bitter to tastebuds when
the fruit is not stripped
properly, one narrow ilk
silk-skinned slipped off a
rigid fuit; beneath, the
succulence, the flavor;
abundant navigation.

Helium can make your voice
higher than the height of your
heart if you suck it in, then blow
it out but when you try to control
the balloon, it flies backwards
into corners.

Let us feed each
other pomagranates peeled
delicately bite by bite, while
a colorful array of the inflatable
are stuck with friction on walls,
floors, ceilings, valence, fears.

Eyelids droop.
I search for the decorator,
the music, the array, the slices
of honeydew, cantaloupe, cherries
spread for tasting!

Balloons of love!
Ornamental seduction!
Mmmmmmmmm.....
