La Paz (continuation I)

I wonder about what the Spanish were thinking about when they named the city! 
Last year I was also in another La Paz (a beautiful city-town? in Traslasierra zone, Córdoba). I guess there are even more, do you know another places with the same name??
The miradores: you are somehow in the roof of the world and people encourage you to go to the miradores... with my plains-kind-of-thought I found it funny, but we went anyway. These photos are from Laikakota mirador in a placid sunday afternoon, I enjoyed very much being there!. The last one is a photo of mí at the exit pointing, talking and laughing at the same time (a friend of mine told me that he found it so funny that he suddenly wanted to put it as his screensaver...!

The other photos are from different La Paz places: a new covered stadium for cultural purposes with beautiful frescos, another miradores, more rests of presidential campaing on the walls, a zone called "Moon Valley", El Alto, "the rich neighborhoods", Casa de gobierno, again La Paz downtown, great Che statue, photos from the bus... enjoy!!
