mythical creature

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

mythical creature

Post by constantine » May 3rd, 2009, 7:57 am

a most curious creature
graceful and supine
walking upon two legs
walking upon four
never have i seen him walk
she swims beneath the surface
and crests with the wave
banking off the current
with wings flapping
skin leathery, warm with fur
we met the other day
i told him about my parents
she spoke fondly of the egg
i held him in my arms
she's just a baby
she was an old woman
he was neither
he was all

This one was like an A bomb going off in my head, as if your poem was burned into my retina. That may be hyperbole.
"blinded by the light
I can not see
watchout for me" (firesign theatre)

They are all too much for words almost.
But you have found the words.
To make them hang with me.
