Yes, the promises of the "other place" seems utterly unsurprisingly vacuous.

settle in; have a dram of whisky or a cuppa tea... I can vouch for the folks here.
as life can do, it has confiscated me from my own priorities, including the desire to be more active here, but I have been hoping to remedy that for some time.

Thanks. I joined back in August after you suggested but only just came back. It will take me a little time to learn to navigate my way around.

From what I have seen so far this place looks good.
