started to post this to GO/Studio Eight Jam but sounded more like a coyote trail so here it is

damn
the morning slipping away
love the night
but I am out of synch with it
going to try again tonight

up at five
but still daybreak by the time I do my chores and get on the road

really blew it this morning
came back in cause I had to get an air chuck
a perfect start to a day is when I am fifty by fifty and just hop on and ride
the zen of my morning got a flow but I am easily distracted by
a neat haiku

crazy about bike lights

... i know what ya mean - took the lights off the Coyote & put them on the Tripel - rain kept me off the ride yesterday but last night got a small break so I could get the lights adjusted in the dark - pretty much good to go for now - man, i want more lights 8) still raining today not hard but that funk rain just enough to keep the roads wet - only have one bike with fenders on it - may have to dig it out of the cellar to make some mileage today - i need to get fenders for the Tripel since i'm riding it most of the time now - what possessed me to buy a bike with no fenders & no kickstand? ... it was the damn frame that seduced me - just love that frame underneath me wheeling down the road - and that minimalist look of the thing - that got me too - i am so pitiful just can't stands meself sometimes -

Sunrise come and gone I blew it again, I been trying to get night pictures of my bike lights to post here,

"Perhaps man's only true dignity is his ability to despise himself." Santayana
I throw that word zen around like I know what it means
maybe I mean Tao of my morning
yesterday the plug broke on my portable air compressor so I had to come in and that was it, had to load it up and go to a service station.
this morning it was something else, I am cutting it too close, four thirty not enough time if I don't allow for life happening while I have other plans
going to try for three thirty tomorrow

early morning light the most dangerous time to ride, something to do with rods cones and the time it takes for them to adjust to changing light.

I wanted you to see what I got it might be useful, I don't know what kind of headlight you are using but I got three on mine two flashing and one steady, a total of 800 lumens, also two tail lights, one steady one flashing .

not bragging just concerned for your safety

I want to ride through the night in a tunnel of light with the darkness all around

Finally found a seat to fit my butt but it weighs ten pounds

looks good for tonight maybe if I don't wimp out in fear of saturday night drunks, I feel safer on week nights

Jiminy Cricket has three bikes - a road bike, a hybrid bike, & a purple fixie with bright green rims - and he takes his road where he finds it - he wants to go to Paris because he has heard rumors that somewhere deep in the Soft Parade of Jim Morrison's tombstone someone has written upon it "CLAMS GOT LEGS!"

Is it your birthday, mister? I never knows when a midsummer night appears. I'm going to look for that.
