yeah, ol' Gipsie's a bit of task but like they say in Mongolia, "Either you're on the bus or you're off the bus." Don't worry, Dr. Sax is still a big gobble - 8)

everybody walks
that say they might wing
but everybody walks
even with half missing teeth
we walk
we grow old
there is nothing else
we might do

Wireman, what did you think of Desolation Angels?

its been years since i read that bulk of a book but i remember loving it all the way through.

Dr. Sax? never read that one. whats that all about, eh?

i love that each book of Jack's is like its own little planet.

planets swirling on me bookshelf

planets in me soup bowl 8)

i want to drink this planet but damnit i settle for whiskey sours

That damn Basho - i'm enjoying the old fart too too much - put a rearview mirror on my walkin' staff and head on out - NOT ! - 5 degrees below nothin' out there so fuck that shit twice and mean it - if it would go to 23 degrees right now it would qualify as a heat wave - there seems to be some kind of invisible border or line somewhere just south of pennsylvania or thereabouts where subzero cold don't come or don't stay if it does come - probably demarking the ghost of the continental ice sheets - their farthest extent or a little beyond -

don't know - i'm reading Basho - my mailbox is buried under a foot of snow

ya called that one for sure - sat up more than half of last night doing 'ku and other short forms -
and having a ball - only way for me not to devour Basho's journey in three ravenous bites -
