my brother had a Ry Cooder cd from a movie called "Crossroads" (a guitar-kid in a search), but he sold it in the early nineties. I remember that it sounded good.

Yes Arcadia he did that soundtrack as well as the Buena Vista Social Club with Wim Wenders, this cd "meeting at the river is like delta blues meets raga heaven....there's some soundbites on amazon.com if ya wanna hear em, #3 is killer...........and the karate kid played the kid in crossroads, good flick for an american movie....

In house at the edge of a cliff, overlooking Morro Bay, in the summer of 1976, the first time I heard him. Can't remember much of the lyrics, but the roar of the surf in the background is still in my ears.

A rough draft of the lyrics for the newest song I've inflicted on the band. Myoung's been (understandably) asking for lyrics, so here is what I've got.

chorus 1:

Last time we ran through the song, there was even one more chorus, but I'm not sure whether it'll turn up in the final semi-concrete version, and anyway, I'm not even sure where it was. I'll do up lyrics eventually for it if we need them. Until then we can use the first four lines of the final chorus there, if we need them.
