What kind of dancing is that?

A beginning of a short story:
"Oh really? What kind of dancing is that?," he asked her and so she stopped dancing, retreated to the room and never came out. "Why don't you come out?," he asked. She shook her head. "Why don't you answer?," he asked. She shook her head. "Want to dance?" She shook her head.
