Nighttime on a grassy hill

Whatever happens, happens. C’est la vie and so it goes. Something about the stars in the night sky make me yearn for the closeness of another human being. I wish we could sit on a knoll in a quiet field and not even say a word. Just you and I and the vaguest hint of summer wind against our cheeks like a whispered kiss from God, overwhelmed and dumb-amazed, lost within the sacred moment. A billion miles between every star, most of the universe is nothing, and here on this grassy hill a soul is blessed enough to twine about another soul, close enough to feel your warmth, close enough to touch your hand.
