My Sister myself

Post by stilltrucking » August 16th, 2006, 2:04 pm

the phone rang in my dreams
or maybe the phone was ringing and it woke me up
and I heard the last ring
did she call me?
she was supposed to
it is her bedroom now
I still get to sleep there when she is gone
Every since she was very young sleep has always been difficult for her
Like a princess with a pea under her mattress.

The room has to be completely dark and quiet
She has hung blankets over my bedroom windows
She removed my alarm clock cause the ticking thundered.
She can not sleep with the bear now
Her last divorce from him cost me thirty grand
I can't afford another one
Hoping for a roncilliation
She needs shelter from the storm
Still rounds and rounds of tests and scans
Plenty of time to stare at waiting room walls
and remember to listen to my breath
