Dear Diary,
there is an animal
trapped in my wall.
Is it a squirrel?
Is it a mouse?
Or maybe it's not
an animal at all
and I am hearing
the collapse of my
house.

Dear Diary
when the ceiling caves in
on top of my head
will you call the parametics
to dig me out?
No, I doubt
that's what it is.
Perhaps a raccoon.

Dear Diary,
the poor fella
will have to eat soon!
If he finds his way out
the same way he came in,
everyone wins!

If he dies in there,
Dear Diary, I fear,
this place is going to stink
so bad!

This is the worst kind of pet
I think I've ever had.

Dear Diary,

I have a bit of an ego
or so I think that's the ghost
to keep contained.
I'll not allow it much wing.

let it fly, the ego can only try
to make up for the mess
that it makes for the psyche
because though they put
it on a shrink's couch
it can only vouch
for its problem
though they stuff it
with pills, to destroy
willy nilly wills
and prod it with electro-
shock, to knock off the
lock, it still can only
squak, no matter how
it learns human talk

Dear diary,
I've $42 in the pocket, so I'm thinking...

Spain or Italy

I think Jack had less, and he went for months.

My guy friend Nick had I think $12 when he went, but he saw the Grateful Dead gratefully. All it takes is selling on the side of the road.

$42 could be a lot of money.
just thinking

Dear Diary,

the yard is full of aliens
are they illegal?
i doubt it, they are winged
and fly

looking all the world like
B-52's making a bombing run
~only doves fattening up
for winter's spare change

those little towhee's
spreading pomegranate seeds
hither and yon
Guadalajara markets will see
the fruits of poop

hummingbirds are gone gone
whirling dervishes amok
gone with the winds
twirled right outta here

fall is falling, birds are calling...
Freedom's just another word...

I'm not even looking forward to winter
I doubt my boots are big enough
and the cold always makes me hungrier.

Dear Diary,
That were righteous what The Dame said.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

All summer I've ate like a squirrel,
but the first signs of winter are cravings
for steak, hamburgers and steak.

You know.

By the way, thanks mingo.
I feel like a freakin' animal
in all things lately.

Here's to tapioca bread.

Until I have an 'art' spot, I've moved in sort of to the diary.

One was more real
I'd almost fallen like all girls
it was cause of his laugh
haunts me yet
but then came the other
the poet
poets are funny sorts
anything could be anything
and nothing can be real.

Both gave my dame the boot,
who could blame em for that.
