But it was woman that aged him
When they began to yawn at him.
Late at night calling Neal Cassady's widow
She got tired of the calls pretended she could not hear him
He would call back and the phone would ring and ring she would not take his call.

Feminine yawns put the age in his eyes
All the "real gone chicks" got hip to his tricks

But what does it matter
he done more with his 47 years than I have done with my 69
Left a legacy of beauty for others
Made his life a garden
