Post by WIREMAN » September 18th, 2010, 3:08 pm

leading to
inevitable satisfaction
spontaneous
like the web
allive and never dead
like billy the kid
like mount vesuvious
like bombs burstin' in air
give it a shot
give it all you got
~GO!

Mine is not to ask why,
Mine is just to let the words fly...
We write on space because it's there, &
Change our shirts when we go to the fair...

I'm certain I'm a poet,
My shoes do show it,
They are "Converse all stars",
Riding on my feet in a green flash car.

I write these words so corny,
As I eat a sandwich of balorny...

light and breezy
dark and heavy
positive or negative
this or that
why is got to be
can't it just be jam
it is easy
spontaneous instantaneous
finger typing good
sat here listening to a motorcyle wind through the gears into the distance and wondered where I was. What state
even I could not remember, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan,
I can accentuate the positive
but I can't eliminate the negative
but that ddont means I gots to dwell on it.''

Yeah, Still Trucking, I remember old "Spiraled Pugnose" AKA Spiro Agnew.
He rivalled smelly cheese. But, in spite of his tax dodging ways, I liked
some of his pugnacious remarks.

I think the Almighty broke the mold when he made Agnew. That dude was
a character. Agnew sometimes made old "Tricky Dick" look like a good cop.
Kind folks and gentle people, that was a hard trick to pull on old Nixon.
Nixon had that used cars salesman look about him that he never could shake.

Then came the "great pan Reagan" the smiling guy cheerleader and sometimes
President of the USA...But I digress...folks my mind just was on go, going, gone
back the days of yesteryarns when it was a mean and simpler time in some
ways. Now we have a black president which I predicted many years ago when
I wrote my version of "Hippie from Mississippi".

So why do we continue to participate in the voting process? "Cause its like
a box of chocolates and you never'll know what party you're going to get."
...To paraphrase Forrest Gump. Stand up for America... or was that George Corley Wallace...? Hey, talk about a character. Where you at?
...Jam- a- lam -a- ding -a- ling -dong, moving right along, brought to you by
an "old reliable" yarnspinner from way back. Yes, he do ramble, don't he?
What's in that thar coffee I been a-drinkin'?

Roy Blanton? was that the name of the Ex Gov of tennessee who went to prison for corruption related crames?
Maryland had another govenor who went to prison and when he moved out of the govenors mansion in annapolis he carted off all the antique colonial furniture.

Agnew did not say nothing, a boob he were. William Safire wrote most of what he said.

Smart guy Safire. I think he is dead now. So it goes.

I was thinking about the prince of optimists Ex prexadunce Gearge W Bush. He was sure cheerful, upbeat. The kind of guy you might want to have a beer with.

Oooh weee
this new med I am on is wonderful
why GO
why not GO
Go why does it matter

GO
till you GO
and leave them laughing

It's all great in the 'hood.
It's so great in the internet 'hood,
So glad that you, Still Trucking, are my internet neighbor...
You, too, Wireman, et al.

Yeah, Still Trucking, I remember Gov. Blanton, he
got convicted. Good heads up about
old Agnose. Funny scripts by that Safire feller.
The world's footnotes, and some of us remember...

So we beat our shaman drum with hollow bones to
get those resonations & vibrations across to the United Nations...
We keep those intonations coming across the bow
of the ship of state...
