weather

Post by judih » December 31st, 2010, 6:38 am

first rumours
then wind
leaves hang on but give in
autumn in december
january thinks of spring
but the chill in the air
sings of loneliness and tears
loss of freedom
time stolen flowers
seeds eaten before they sprout

this climate, this weather
a warden of my time
erecting barriers to escapade
brushing oil spills on sunsets
the mighty hand of currents and pressure zones
sealing my fate

We're expecting to get snowed in around here in antebellem land.
Let it snow! 8) We had our first white Christmas here since 1989. It has
been so dry and we need the moisture in the water tables....

Sorry about your drought, Judih. We are recovering from a drought here...

We are experiencing our biggest snowfall in about fourteen years here in Chattanooga, Tennessee (USA). We awakened to eight inches of snow and there may be more on the way. Everything is shut down. Hopefully, the salt and sand
trucks will get out and there will be snowplows. (At one time, the county we lived
in only had two snowplows for the whole county.) As soon as we finish our oatmeal breakfast, we'll get dressed and build another snowman or snowcat like we did on Christmas. :)

whether or not
the weather is
hot or not
some will like
some will not

Texas blue northern rippin through
chilled to the bone
damp and windy
the beauty of Texas weather
give it fifteen minutes and it will change
next week I will probably have to turn the ac on.

when the fool on the hill watches the world turning round
Israel burns and Australia floods
the sun so hot I nearly froze to death
Oh Susanna don't you cry for me

stand still comes hard to me
I got to be rolling
the next best thing to being free
with nothing left to loose

When it's white out
the weather gets to me
there's no arms here,
only snow.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!
