lump in her breast
with baby in womb

she's like my sister
years with my brother
their babies are like mine

can't find words
don't want to shed tears
in case it washes away
hope

maybe poets can help

just woke up
wet with sweat

in the dream
white coats
confusion
she stands

i shout
"don't tell her to sit down!
she's fighting for her life!"

eyes opened
tears fall

almost 8 am
day 9

read positivity

let it sit
in my heart

wrote some
positivity
to my brother
for them

we walk together
om shanti om
and all the transformation
that it brings with it

9:25 am
same day

we gather round
embrace healthy cells
encourage her body to boost strength
with knowledge of which cells are which
fortify the good, crumble the bad
pinpoint the bright
activate the light
eradicate the invader
home zone comfort once more

now.

not sure why I was.

we count to steady our pulse
a comforting metronome
