the notes linger
the melody fades
lost in time
expect uncertainty
a word is not a word

Beautiful in their youth
Time to blossom

the waves of innocence
leave through a trap door
traces of cell phones
fast messages
take-out music
footprints of existence

voices come to their end
words never seem to reach that point
from what i can tell
i wanna rock some pre-proto-indo-european
jam that evidence of ancient hearths
found 50 feet below the surface
of the earth
until the kingdom gets here we got
ancestors & descendants all the way
they all hit the ground jammin'
& went out the same way
the stars flame but never blink
as my Aunt C. used to say -
she said she left her father's house
& found a sailor to marry
after that it was big ford sedans
and work in a glass factory
a small house out west in canyon country
when i visited her she always said first
"Here, have a drink!"

my aunt and uncle
visits to Buffalo, Connecticut and deep country lanes
worlds apart from suburbia
life without TV, empty stupidity
where fools had names
and trees were born and bred

no one suspects
no one knows
within this mind
lies a jammer

i meet, i greet
i pretend to see faces
while i carry on
two-sided riffs

they may gawk
while i talk
doesn't bother me
shamelessly engaged

Squawked
Squandered
Sea sick serpents
With fire in the hole
Whole worlds abound
in jam, it must
Spelling out the window
No time
Rapid spontaneity
Continuous flow
What other kind Is there? Duh!
