saturday healing the sick
it seems that i am called this way
wonder when i will be held and cradled
then i remember
i have to show how to heal and not concern my self with rewards
it is enough to know i am making a difference in some ways.
people feel respected and encouraged
this is good.

saturday healing the sick.

i died in jims arms
said the grave
in jim's arms
in jim's embrace
and he forgot me already!
thus spoke G.A.P.

i picked up the dead
then forgot about them
until later after the greif and rage
had
taken their toll
then i remembered and they stayed with me

so now in day light on the first of November, the night of beasties and ghosties and things that go bump, is over.

I got a visit from a little white bitch, dead these past twenty years. And today I am thinking of anniefay's hair.

caught a bit on a mainstream TV ABC (Good old General Electric?) covering the coming theocracy, everthing coming up roses, and if we join the noble cause in Iraq we got seventy two virgins waiting in heaven. Sounded that way to me but I am a dirty old man.

to hell with heaven
a sacrilidge
as the old ones said
far away
heaven and hell
a split second apart

the samurai went to the zen man
said enlighten me
teach me about heaven and hell
zen man said, who, you? HA!
you are too dumb
samurai took out his sword
red and blue face
zen man said, that's hell, mon
duh, said the samurai
put down his sword
thank heaven zen man said
and kept his head
for another day!

hope we can keep our heads too
taking portable buddha to work today
bearing witness to a smile.

thanks brother
wash the dirty old man in you with some
sweet fresh air, south texas style
in november and be born again
into the new dawn.

was crazy
told me many times
Heaven and Hell
It is right here
Right now
I make it
for myself
New avatar,
the good German Baron, led his people out of the Hell in Eastern Europe, to the Heaven of New Jersey in the New world.

The guy who wrote amazing grace everyone talks about how he was a slave ship captain had this wonderful born again experience during a storm and then wrote that beautiful Hymn. Not the way it went. Yes he wrote the song, yes he had a wonderful conversion, but he continued as a slave ship captain for another thirty years. Took plenty of black women for his slave brides. Bush is a dry drunk, interesting concept. Now he is drunk on power.

j
a windstorm of bits
each rocking my moment
my cheek is not turned
i face the music

into the new dawn.
in a silent wind storm
a buddha bit has landed
j from memory

The moon in the water
Her finger points to the heavens above
All is well
just a cosmic goof
hear my laughter
see my tears
