Buddha Bit Jam

Post by judih » April 17th, 2005, 8:32 am

wisdom comes in bits
buddha bits
sudden morsels of light, fire and sun
permeating the being
in epiphany so gentle

mid-sentence bit
the tongue feels a chakra kiss
and words temporarily ring in sanskrit

om (my) one
all is connected
the dots join hands

...

a buddha bit has landed

beautiful word bits

someone said,
i don't remember who...

time is not a line
but a series of now points

so it is with with buddha bits

om shanti om

why is it
that
i
have
satori
moments...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

and then
forget?...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

i know
i've
had
flashes
of enlightenment
in the span
of
my lifetime...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

the
sensations
linger...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

kensho
maybe --
not satori yet...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

glimpses,
promises
of
what
is
possible...

if i draw my head
down
into my heart
and
leave it there...

dot dot dot
dot dot dot

connect the dots
not yet...

maybe...
but
seems to me
hakuin
would have
a way of reminding us
that
the finger pointing has something to tell us too

and as for sitting down...
hmmm...
many of us
girls
sometimes
stand up
and don't sit on the seat --
some
for health...
and
some
for hakuin-like giggles

i see it is
still
with you

satori
achieved
through
paradox

that is
personal experience

would that i could
remove this from you

but then again,
I know
you know
the gifts contained within,
just need to see
through their disguises

whether you look at the moon
or the finger pointing

don't mistake
the finger
for the man

or the finger pointing
for the moon
