I bring you now,
finally,
the definitive write,
the Jesus of poetry,
so step right up folks,
lay your eyes on
these words
right here,
for you are reading
a masterpiece,
a real pee ess
de resis taunce
like never before,
and I expect marvel,
praise, power,
and followers.
Indeed, I have no
pithy crossroad juncture
to tell you of,
no love gone bad
trivia to bore you
to death with,
no, I bring you now
only the straight ahead
unbeaten path
of the unpossessed,
a lonelyhearted rant
of a fool
in all her brilliance,
and i've practiced it
over the years
like clockwork,
in scintillating conversations with
myself,
preparing my delivery of it,
imagining it's grand reception
in the halls of Pulitzer and prize,
my poetic concerto,
my chamber poem,
my stringed verse,
my verbal 8th wonder
of the world,
and now,
indeed,
here it is.
Enjoy, enjoy,
yes, let's have a drink
and celebrate,
for here it is,
and isn't it wonderful,
and now I am somebody
because I wrote it,
and touched everyone
to the depth of
their unspoken
cores.

justwow...what a piece...I...I...I don't have words worthy enough to
give applause to such a masterful creation. This is such enchantingly
delightful and overwhelming work, so smooth to the ear and sugar
to the tongue....I shall bow down and worship these utterances till
I die of starvation, and even still, they will not be able to wipe away
the pleasure from my face as I am lowered to my place of final rest.

hester, this has the kind of raw truth and emotion that makes it as undeniable as the locomotive bearing down on you with your foot stuck in the track.....great flow and power........enjoyed !
