Where was that guy with the hook
when I needed to be yanked off the stage
where was that fairy godmother of mine
when I lit that match to see the truth

in that dynamite factory, boom shocka-locka, boom
oh I don't know, maybe she was there all along
and that's why I'm writing this little poem here,
maybe she's like, real smart

maybe she knew that smearing my nose
in a nice variety of rank shit would make me
a pillar of society, that I might be able to
acquire an eternal bulletproof patchouli aroma,

maybe she knew
that I could come away with a valentine's heart
encased in that new biodegradable kevlar
just perfected for foolish lovers like myself,

or maybe she was just a sexy trump card
that liked to throw herself down on my kitchen table,
take my pot, leave me broke, all with the best
of intentions of course, because like I said,

maybe she's like, real smart.
