Vodka Fury

Post by Lightning Rod »

I'm a jealous sort
I'm particularly jealous of Mr. Gilbey
you know, the vodka man

he has no smell
no aroma
but deadly as
double oh seven

take you to hell or heaven
I get the chills
when Mr. Gilbey
walks in the door
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

I suffer a bit of that affliction,
this afternoon, only for a while.
I can't be completely rational
at this exact moment in time.
Can't be trusted with that.

That presupposes I may have been
rational pre-Vodka, which is most
likely a myth, but there ya go.

I'm sipping a little Smirnoff,
just a little.

It was four dollars more
than Gilbeys. Overpriced by four?
Damn, the whole thing seems over
priced.

ok, let's stagger down the road arm and shoulder
we'll sing something
out of key
and think we are two carusos
on a binge with blurry stars in our eyes
