The Mémoires of a Lothario...

Post by XPress »

She...
Walked into the room,
No!
Maybe I did?
Truth be told,
I can't remember where we met,
But it was memorable.

I held her in my arms,
Just like all the others,
Just like all my lovers,
Blurred into one.

I didn't stop to think, to drink in her beauty, but animal urges, purged me, of all my loving.

I should have stopped to care, or at least to stare, and take a mental snapshot, of the smile, that traced itself across her face.

If I'd cared, I would have liked, to have loved her, but I was selfish, and now she's gone.

Conveyor belt of passion, it's quite the fashion, but the price to pay, is empty.

I love the line, And then SHE walked into the room
Endless possibilities

the conveyor belt of passion is a great line and a great concept
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."
