I don’t need anyone

Post by keithalanhamilton »

I don’t need anyone to love
only be loved and I’ll love
I don’t need anyone to care
simply care and I’ll care
I don’t need anyone as a friend
just a friend and I’ll be a friend
I don’t need anyone to stay
merely stay and I’ll stay

I don’t need anyone
and yet be someone to me
I’ll be someone to you
with no need for anyone else

And yet you need everyone. Well, maybe not quite "everyone," but hey, you know..

I completely get this poem. We don't need anyone, but we really do, don't we? Or perhaps we don't need anyone, but we want someone.

And we secretly wish that special someone would say to us: "I need you, I can't live without you, I'll be your someone, I'll be your friend, I'll always love you."

We can only hope...
The road to happiness: Perseverance, Endurance and a whole lot of Hope.
