It aches within
and when I awake,
the haunting feeling of my nightmare
lingers in my pores.
My sheets soaked with anxiety.

I try to shake off
the excess residuals of my fear.
Hoping the shattering visions
my mind experienced in sleep
never come to torture me in reality.
