my head hurts real bad

i'm thinking about pizza
but doing nothing about it
the effort is almost insurmountable
i'd have to call them, then
go down the steps and pay the guy
maybe it would be a girl, but that hardly matters
this ain't the junior prom
it's pizza - pure and simple
i don't know what to do
if i get a pizza
it would cut into my projected cigarette expenditure
i'd surely regret it later on in the week
live for today i always say
but then tomorrow comes and i feel like an idiot
still, a pizza would be nice
maybe i'll take a nap
if i'm lucky i'll dream about pizza
a delivery girl in evening attire
with cigarettes to burn
these are the simple pleasures
that bring joy to my life
