the global economy and all

Post by mnaz »

"rights" and rhythm get faster, tighter
to a constant buzzbuzzing of neither
at high end, low end, creeps in from either
goliath lobby! the one world economy!
one world under a sunny money god
pray sellers will always have buyers

what does poetry know?
poetry roll out some new ruse
but the weapons trade is in hand
the boardroom mafia, flat earth rape
money changers at the temple door
send our kids to fight money wars

....Okay, that's it. No more of these for a while, I promise.

I'm not the best student of history. I know this mafioso shit has gone on for millenia, but it seems to have only recently morphed into this multinational corporate "global economy" vector. and I do worry about this global economy and all of its potential for smoke and mirror tricks. seems like a house-a-cards sometimes, where the top gets built up too high, depending too much on the squeezed lower end. hey man, don't squeeze my lower end like that!... uhh, thanks Hest.

Don't stop on my account either. Poets are the voices of dissent amongst the cattle and chattel.
