I like your story, mousey.1... it sounds right.
you mention of Hepburn & Tracy had me recalling a poem I wrote quite awhile back...
Bogart n Bacall
- red
- warm
- moist
sounds dripping
from the speakers
rolling tears
- of joy
- of beauty
- of passion
soul baring
voice mimicking
loneliness while
music accompanies
heartbeats in rhyme
dance close
dance closer
dance as one
- embracing
- holding each
- valuable treasure
- serendipitously found
melding into the sound
taking off to places
- maybe tangiers
- maybe paris
- maybe kyoto
- or even maui
don’t drink the water
have some more wine
- i'll be bogart
- you be bacall
- sam will play it
- one more time

mousey, miss your presence...
August is a harsh month, I hope you're surviving it and finding good morsel. I wish I had a poem to bring in.

Hello Hello. Thanks for missing me. I don't know why I do this, drop
off the face of the studioeight planet, spiraling spiraling out of sight
and then plop I'm back again.
I haven't been writing much. Nor really reading much.
Except for the odd book.
It's been a lovely summer, but oh how it flies the coop
without a backward glance. And now
the Fall begins.
As for the morseling? It's been pretty good,
and your presence is poem enough.

I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

A mousey has discovered our lair! Let's be festive and light, a party tonight!
I'm happy you've discovered us, cheers, cheers to one good mouse.

Speaking of odd reads

Nice poetic reasoning there I think.
passing thoughts>>>>>
You know I should really use more emoticons,
I had a line on a GO somewhere, I think it is the current summer transition jam.
Any way my line was

and Panta Rhei
and Arcadia
Hester

Abstroint
<><><><>>><>>><.
As I was saying about odd reads before I was interrupted by my wandering mind

Speaking of sisters
and here we are
a portrait of a family,
I wish I did more for.
Missing you.

I enjoy chewing the cud with sisters
small talk is so informative
I dream about chit chatting with Gertrude Stein in my blue feminist heaven.
What I noticed is just how bitchy women can be too each other.
G d help the man that falls into that trap
Unless he is Solomon I guess

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds. — R.D.L.

Wylie Shambles has an interesting tag line.
What I have noticed is how men unconsciously posture for women. Showing their longing and hatred for women at the same time. The worse ones are those that see themselves as innocent little pixies who seem to have no idea how vicious their obsidian words cut.
Hatred of womankind
because a woman is a woman
and they can't forget when a woman owned their ass.
the worse kind of pussy whipped
oh lordy protect us from ghoulies and pricks that go bump
sorry for the ramble just saying howdy and chewing the cud about the recent doings on studio eight.
I hate to think about life after studio eight
I have so much fun here.

Always welcome
always welcome we
here chewing cuds
or not...we ramble on
in friendly banter or the serious thought
Studio Eight welcomes all come in
come in and set awhile
whiling away the moments
of this quickly passing life.
High five, still t, High five.
High five, all, who pass by
and drop into the mousey dive for a while.
