Sunday Morning

What I can see when I sit on my big , front, wrap around, screened in porch, in front of the pretty, white, clapboard church, across the tree lined street in our small, friendly, southern town on a sleepy, sunny, Sunday, summer morning.

Birds, worshipping sky and trees
Squirrels, worshipping trees and ground
People, worshipping the creator of it all.

and it reminded me of this spring poem i wrote a few months ago

spring day
walking outside
alive!

wicker chair in shade. birds
easter eggs in trees
it’s good to breathe

dogs barking
airplanes passing by
he says my art is definitely
NOT SHY
