No Mulligans

The best I knew how
somehow wasn’t good enough.
Now I’m stuck with it.

(A mulligan is a chance to do something differently, presumably better. In weekend golf, if you slice a drive into a jungle, you take a mulligan and try again without penalty. They are not permitted in professional golf or life.)
