and so another Christmas begins it's fade
from present
into memory
taking along with it
gently vibrating echos of laughter
the lingering warmth from smiles,
enduring memories of hugs from surprises,
and perhaps a few private leftover longings
from wishes still left unfulfilled
or simply not able to be fulfilled.
within the smoke of blown out candles of christmas 2010
are the beginning of christmas 2011
