I wish that I could find a way to tell him dinner's done.
To let him know without being rude that it's time to run.
I'd like to have my peaceful home, back on the right track,
But the dinner guest just won't go and let me have it back.
I'm really getting tired of the drama he creates;
Of him sitting at my table and saying what he hates.
He arrived uninvited, and without a by your leave,
Sat down beside me and started tugging at my sleeve.
Look at what she's wearing, it's in such bad taste;
And over there, look at how he gulps his food in haste.
Why do you invite such people here to dine.
"Because, uninvited guest, these people are all MINE"
So if you really don't enjoy the company at my table.
Just get up and walk away. Now, while you're still able.
The Dinner Guest

Re: The Dinner Guest
love this---really do-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
