who wanted to be called Fannie
now that she left her retired trite life
way up north on Wall St., not to
mention her passe husband
on the lower East side

and we drove that space truck
around the Keys looking for
a unified theory of light and sound,
for a harmonious funk to beam us up
we tore that bedroom apart like two
shipwrecked moon doggies, and when
I woke up the next morning
Joannie, Fannie, and my Nikon camera
were gone.
