I have no news. Can't call the hospital because he can't talk, I'm sure. Sorry. I sent his sister a message asking for an update about how the surgery went. Haven't heard back yet.

Thanks for the number, Butch! I know he can't talk, probably, which is why he isn't picking up the phone. I'll try to call, too. Maybe a nurse will be in the room to answer.

Today, one of his friends from the blues band Clay's been playing with is going to see him (he told me on FB), so I'll pass this number along to him, also. And hopefully his friend will also give me an update to share.

Just got news from one of Clay's friends who went to visit him. The mass was malignant. They will have to do more surgery and he may also undergo radiation. The second surgery is scheduled for next week. That's all I know other than he doesn't want people to make a big deal about it, his friend said.
