At night my mind races
memories of you it chases
memories that can’t be replaced
memories my heart can’t erase
each chance it gets
not a minute my mind will waste
closing my eyes
without fail
my mind begins to race
breathing deeply
letting go
I’m in that place
I feel your touch
your embrace
your blue eyes make me shiver
my body you trace
remembering just the way you taste
if it I made it seem like these memories were unwelcome
or unappreciated
that certainly isn’t the case
I hope these memories
will never be erased.
