every morning

Post by the mingo »

every morning I sit
on the same toilet and look
at the same room around me
and every morning I vow to clean it
the bits of dry leaves tracked in
so long ago
the dead bodies of spiders
and the webs their death left abandoned
to put away the boxes and
the pictures piled beneath the window
but i wipe & rise & flush
and never do
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

A slice of life.

Thank you. But I'm sure you a waft of ocean drifts through your open window. :D

inspiration and motivation are relative to the forces in our hearts that try to make sense of a crazy world, to the winds of change that prioritize our action....few if any on their death bed regret never having a cleaner, tidier house.....I liked it...

Funny how after we've purged within, the purge without always seems so much less urgent.
