6:36 in the morning

Post by Kailashana »

With a sky so grey,
clouds arrive to break
up its monotony,
with a wind so cold
to an unseen
stretch of limbs, howling
with a lake so hungry
stealing shadows
of wild geese, passing

days are shorter now,
pallid with an early decay,

there is a distance
I travel to the midnight moon, lamenting
with the streetlights, a loneliness.

But you are here, my darling,
sleeping. I pluck
another feather
from your dreams,
growing daylight.

format isn't everything
content overrides form
but wish i could help

html might fix the scene

but your poem is sensational, feather plucking to eavesdrop on dreams

Magnificent closing stanza to this poem.

A memorable morning love poem. You write with metaphorical lyricism abounding. I love how your words make me feel.
