take no prisoners consumerism

Post by Kailashana »

Pucker up!
The oranges are not sweet,
the apples taste like paper
and the blue bottles are shaky,
we feel little earthquakes
when progress goes by
leveling the ground
and killing fields with Zen.

Another anthill bites the dust and the long way home
is a walled city. We talk about talking while another family
goes homeless into the currency of modern times.

I feel hopeless today but I'm not buying anything.

was particularly fond of the last line, tho the entire poem resonates with a feeling I think many of us have that the emperor is naked, and it ain't pretty....enjoyed
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
