as delicate placed metaphors
rippling in the swirl of a sweetwater stream
endless soundings of the river

tender as your kiss
to embrace the inseparable intending
of listening to the shape of your smile
in the mystery of your love

and the flavourings of your words

This fine poem has its own rhythm and pace and images which are brought home well.
