symbiosis

Post by saw »

what about the obligation to your self
hell, don't talk to me about your tolerance
for pain,...I'm talkin' about the self, the one
you keep locked up like a face in a jar

you know exactly what I'm talking about,
I told you I already know you can plant your lips
on the ass of the oppressor, I already know
you can juggle numerous unrelated batons

the question........Is
does that fill your cells
with sparkling new blood, or does it
only make you obedient

I know all about you, walked every step
in your shoes or out of them
on every single ember, and I know
the question for you was always

balance......as it should be
the proper proportions between
the teetering boulder of expected composure
and the real-life menacing Hard-Place

I know I know, it was always the symbiotic struggle
the love-hate between the water wings
of bobbing along on the surface....And
the beckoning sleep.....with the fishes

I know this
I was there....
and I'm here now,
so let me introduce myself
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

Exponentially profound. You took me angling in some deep poetic waters. What a lovely mind spin. :)
