"The Way of Forgiveness - Letting Go, Easing Stress, and Building Strength"
D. Patrick Miller
http://www.fearlessbooks.com/20Years.htm
"D. Patrick Miller is the author of nine books, published by major houses as well as his own press, Fearless Books. How he became an independent publisher is one of the most unusual stories in publishing today. The publication of his first solo book, on the subject of forgiveness, presented him with a challenging "forgiveness opportunity" that motivated him to found his own press.
Now Patrick is telling the whole story for the first time, as part of a fund-raising venture to release the 20th Year/2014 Edition of THE WAY OF FORGIVENESS at 1994 prices -- while also making 5000 copies available free to prisons and nonprofit organizations.
I’m pleased to be spreading the word for Fearless Books about one of the most unusual crowd-funding campaigns ever. You can read the whole story at http://www.fearlessbooks.com/20Years.htm, join the party with a contribution, and tell any friends about this very worthy project."
Also ...
"If you're interested in helping out but you haven't read THE WAY OF FORGIVENESS, you can get a free digital copy by going to Smashwords:
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/3006
and using the 100% discount coupon "NF32K". While the e-book doesn't have the elegance of the printed edition, you can read it on a Kindle, computer, smartphone, or any electronic what-have-you. After reviewing your free copy, there's no obligation to contribute, or help with publicity... but I hope you'll be so moved."
...
On a personal note:
I have the 1999 edition of "a Little Book of forgiveness...Challenges & Meditations for Anyone with Something to Forgive" and this little book has helped me through many trying times. Times when I had to face things about myself that I really didn't want to face. Times when I had to accept things about others I really didn't want to accept. I also have the 2009 edition of "The Way of Forgiveness - Letting Go, Easing Stress, and Building Strength" which expands even more on the simple, but oh so effective "7 Steps of Forgiving" first written in "a Little Book of forgiveness."
These are the books I find myself going back to time and time again, as need requires.
Enjoy the free digital copy, and thank you for your time and consideration.
Kind regards to all!
Deb

thank you, Deb
forgiveness - something that can wash a mind clean - a long process that feels so easy after it's done. (especially self-forgiveness)
And thanks for this link.

Re: "The Way of Forgiveness - Letting Go, Easing Stress, and
long process is right ... and self forgiveness really is the hardest
self-flagellation and depreciation is much easier
my biggest breakthrough (release and freedom) came with my mom
over something as simple as her telling me she loved me
for YEARS i carried this pain inside
and then one day i realized that she had actually done nothing wrong...even if what she did at that moment had hurt
that i was the one in judgement, and with my judgement trying to guilt trip her into an apology
with the realization came my own remorse,
came my exhale,
came my letting go,
came my release
later, without even thinking about it, it just naturally slipped out one day ... "I wish you would have said I love you to me at that time" and she nodded in complete understanding
at that was it!
the understanding, the shared moment of perfectly honest communication from heart and words, and the shared acceptance of each other (then and now) purged the pain, healed, and bonded us in love once again - in that very instant!
i'm grateful, i'm awed, and i'm honored to have done this with her.
forgiveness clears the gunk out
so that reconnection can happen again
forgiveness is the step
the reward is the love
thanks mom
(for everything)
....
and thank you J
for touch that allows this expression of gratitude
you'll a jewel

Re: "The Way of Forgiveness - Letting Go, Easing Stress, and
thirty years since her mother died
hurts me to see her pain
I used to try and "fix it" for her
then it dawned on me
sons get off easy
daughters get the full force of that fierce maternal love
a double dose of x i guess
pardon the ramble deb
just a personal observation on my family
not much a brother can do except keep an open mind and a hearing heart
thanks for the links, I still believe it is never too late to experience forgiveness, just more challenging after a death in the family.
